Who we are.
We are Ellington Arms, a Houston, TX based company focusing on providing training in the use of firearms for defensive use. We started this company after seeing a need for better gun safety training. We specialize in the Texas License to Carry course, as required by the State of Texas to obtain the right to carry a loaded firearm, openly or concealed.

What is the process to learn to shoot?
1 If you are just learning to shoot, or have never even touched a firearm, you must first learn the basics of firearm operation and safety. Ellington Arms offers courses in basic gun safety and operation to help familiarize yourself with the operations of firearms and learn proper gun etiquette.
2 Once you are familiar with firearm operation and safety, the next step is to obtain your Texas License to Carry. We will spend 6-8 hours learning the laws in the State of Texas regarding the use of deadly force, where firearms can be carried legally, gun safety review and shooting proficiency.
3Following the LTC class, the next step in your training is to learn proper defensive gun operation. This class teaches proper draw techniques, taking cover and shooting while distracted. Due to the nature of this course, it will be taught only in a one/two-on-one setting.
